Chili Beef Recipes

Ingredients :

60ml kecap manis

2 1/2 tsp sambal oelek

2 cloves garlic, crushed

1/2 tsp ground coriander

1 tbsp grated palm sugar or soft brown sugar

1 tsp sesame oil

400g beef fillet, partially frozen, thinly sliced

1 tbsp peanut oil

2 tbsp chopped roasted peanuts

3 tbsp chopped fresh coriander leaves

Method :
  1. Combine the kecap manis, sambal oelek, garlic, ground coriander, palm sugar, sesame oil and 2 tbsp water in a large bowl.
  2. Add the beef slices and coat well.
  3. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  4. Heat a wok over high heat, add the peanut oil and swirl to coat.
  5. Add the meat in batches and cook each batch for 2-3 minutes, or until browned.
  6. Arrange the beef on a serving platter, sprinkle with the chopped peanuts and fresh coriander, and serve with steamed rice.

Ready to eat in 30 minutes

Serves 4 - 6
